Damp surveys
Our damp surveys are carried out in line with British Standard BS6576 and the Property Care Association (PCA) Code of Practice, and by a surveyor who holds the industry recognised Certificated Surveyor in Remedial Treatment qualification. You can, therefore, be confident that a Plasterhawks survey will meet industry-approved levels of competency, quality and customer care.
We specialise in diagnosing the source of any damp and providing professional recommendations as to how to treat the problem. We will also quote for any treatment works, although clients are under no obligation to contract us to carry out the remedial work.
For our damp survey and report we charge a small fee, starting at £100 plus VAT. This is in recognition of our specialist qualifications and accreditations and the fact that producing such reports takes time if done correctly in line with industry standards. This document is then yours to do with as you choose but it will provide a useful detailed record of the damp issues and recommended treatments for your property produced by an industry-recognised specialist.
Some companies do not openly charge up front as we do, but it is worth bearing in mind that they will likely recoup their costs by adding this to their invoice should they carry out the remedial work.
